Few properties offer an arrival quite like The White House at Livingston. Beyond a gated entrance, a winding half mile driveway leads through 7.79 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds to a European inspired estate of extraordinary scale and distinction. Inside, approximately 20,000 square feet unfold from a dramatic foyer with a sweeping double staircase. Soaring hand molded ceilings reaching 25 feet, handcrafted two inch mahogany floors, exquisite marble and onyx finishes and bathrooms with 24 karat gold accents reflect remarkable attention to detail. The magnificent two story living room, with its balcony, grand columns and fireplaces, is designed for entertaining on an exceptional scale. Nearby, a formal dining room seats up to 24 at a handcrafted table. The estate is equally suited to quiet escapes and grand occasions. Nine bedrooms, ten full bathrooms and an elevator provide comfort throughout, while a private library, custom bar and wine cellar offer intimate spaces to retreat and gather. A dedicated yoga room, fitness facility, sauna and steam room bring the pleasures of a private wellness retreat home. Outdoors, a heated pool and private tennis courts are framed by lush grounds and extraordinary seclusion. Yet the estate remains only 17 miles from Manhattan, minutes from The Mall at Short Hills and just 4.8 miles from the nearest private airport. A rare rental opportunity to enjoy privacy, grandeur and refined living in one of the region's most remarkable estates.
