The property and Hartsel are near the center of Colorado and close to all things Colorado - fishing at three area reservoirs, hunting, hiking in either Pike or San Isabel National Forests, snowmobiling, skiing at either Breckenridge or Monarch Ski Resorts, etc. Dining out, shopping and white water rafting on the Arkansas River is a short drive down to Buena Vista. Hartsel is about two hours southwest of Denver and a little more than an hour east of Colorado Springs. The South Park area is known for being a great recreational destination. In addition to the three local reservoirs - Antero, Spinney and Eleven Mile Reservoirs - Wildhorse Reservoir is under construction and will open nearby in a few short years. Directions Take US285 one mile south of Fairplay and turn left on CO-9 toward Hartsel, go 17 miles to a left turn on US24E, go about a mile to a right turn on CO-9 toward Canon City, go about 1.5 miles to a right turn on CR-53, stay on CR-53 to the Y, veer left on Chickasaw Rd and continue south on Chickasaw to a right turn on Chickamauga Trail to the real estate sign, Twin Creek Realty, and the property on the left.
