Hwy 25N towards Eldorado, exit 290 onto Hwy 285 going south past Eldorado, crest the Lamy hill and cross railroad tracks, turn right just past marker #285 onto Astral Valley Road (Big "Galisteo Basin Preserve" sign at entry). Astral Valley Road winds around and turns into Rubedo which turns into Morning Star Ridge, all about 1 mile to the Southern Crescent Road and stone marker.
