History

Fort Laramie was originally established as a fur trading post in 1834 and evolved into the largest and best-known military post on the Northern Plains! The Fort witnessed the entire saga of western expansion thru the homesteaders and their establishment and use of the Oregon, Mormon and California Trails and the Native American resistance to the encroachment into their territories.

Location

The Ranch is about an hour and a half to the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne and about the same to the state's regional hub in Casper, and the University of Wyoming in Laramie. All cities offer convenient air travel and their own respective amenities. The hustle and bustle of the Colorado Front Range, and all it has to offer is just a couple of hours to the south.
