Or power can be attained from Choctaw Electric Co-op. There's no charge for starting service, only your cost to run from that pole to your breaker box. This parcel of land is moderately to thickly wooded with a unique mix of pine and hardwoods. The creek is the northern boundary of the property and has a couple of areas which wildlife have established for drinking spots where you can more easily walk down the 5-8 ft decline to explore the creek bed. It is seasonal most years and provides a peaceful bubbling ambience about 6 months of the year depending on how much rainfall. During the dry season it tends to be almost dry. It's a lot of fun to explore, walking the creek bed during dry season. During rainy season the creek is often waist high, on its way to the Kiamichi river, less than a mile to the east. (you can't reach the Kiamichi river via the creek, as it largely disappears underground going eastward, yet you can access the river at Rattan Landing just down the road)

The Kiamichi River in southeastern Oklahoma is a scenic tributary of the Red River. Converging with Hugo Lake, this river is mostly undeveloped with limited access. At Rattan Landing just down the road you can use the public boat ramp to explore the river for fishing or boating fun. There is an RV campground perfect for fishing, with river access at most of the 13 sites. It's reasonably priced with RV dumping and water refill, boat ramp, as well as a public restroom.

Rattan Landing is ~40 acre property that offers woodland wilds and river access. The Kiamichi River is known for good fishing and variable scenery. The river flows into Hugo Lake Reservoir, and 18 river miles past the dam it meets up with the Red River.

There are always fish to be caught in the Kiamichi River and in Hugo Lake, which is accessible floating down the Kiamichi river from Rattan Landing. The northern half of Hugo Lake is flooded timber, which offers exceptional fishing opportunities. From early sand bass and slab crappie to late season fall bass, anglers will always find opportunities. The catfishing is excellent during the summer.

Recreational boaters enjoy the wide open lower lake, with its open water, beautiful limestone rock walls, and sandy banks.

Wildlife around Hugo Lake includes waterfowl, bobwhite quail, dove, whitetail deer, mink, fox and beaver. There are miles of road to view from, as well as trails to get off the beaten path.

Hunters enjoy 25,000+ acres of land managed by the Army Corps of Engineers or Oklahoma Dept of Wildlife Conservation. Bow hunting is permitted in and around most of the park areas. Kiamichi Park features an archery practice range, and a 3,000-acre Quality Deer Management Area.

Drive east about 6 miles from Antlers along highway 3. Turn right at Crow's Nest road. Once you drive over the creek, you're on the property to your left.
