SOIL: Soils on this tract are fairly common to the area and primarily consists of Posey fine sandy loam, 1 to 3 percent slopes, in most of the NE 2/3’s of the tract except for a strip of Estacado clay loam, 0 to 1 percent slopes on the land along the
US-84 frontage. The SW part of the property is primarily Arch loam, 0 to 3 percent slopes, but there is also additional
Posey fine sandy loam, 1 to 3 percent slopes located in the SW corner. All these soils are classified suitable for grazing and the Posey and Estacado soils are suited for Moderate farming, with the Arch loam soil suited for limited farming.
Soils can be prone to erosion if good farming and grazing practices are not utilized.
