It's possible the farmer would grant permission to park along the river bank.The island itself is wooded with clearings providing a perfect blend of privacy and open space. There are some elevated areas that would be ideal for making a permanent campsite or even building a small seasonal cabin or tree fort. There are beautiful winding water ways that run through the island so one can row/motor their boat right into the heart of the island.Nearby the towns of Sidney and Unadilla offer good local eats, the Valley View Walking Trails, the Unadilla drive-in theatre, a few local parks, among other attractions.
