I am Joe Schmitt. I am an outdoor enthusiast and vacant land specialist. I am the founder and CEO of Hang Your Hat Properties. Our mission at Hang Your Hat Properties is to make the dream of land ownership easy for everyone.

I am a Minnesota native. My business is based here, but my team and I work nationwide. My background is in information technology, and I use those skills to ensure that people have all the information they need to purchase property quickly and easily.

I am the father of two teenage boys and an avid trail runner. On the weekends, you can find me scrambling over rocks on the North Shore of Lake Superior, hiking along the rivers and lakes of Minnesota, or tromping across snow-covered prairies in snowshoes.
